If they do, the deductible alone may be much more than the cost to replace or repair your phone. That’s why so many customers are taking advantage of Signal Dial Direct®, insurance protection created to protect your wireless phone. Signal Dial Direct gives you the coverage you need for a reasonable price! This insurance is available by arrangement with Bluegrass Cellular® for customers through The Signal.

 

What is covered under Signal Dial Direct®?

Signal Dial Direct® provides protection against accidental physical damage, theft, lost and mechanical or electrical failure once the manufacturer's warranty expires.  See brochure for terms and conditions for full details of coverage under Signal Dial Direct®.

How do I enroll in Signal Dial Direct®?

You are eligible to enroll in Signal Dial Direct® up to 30 days after your purchase and activation of a new phone on the Bluegrass Cellular network.

How much does Signal Dial Direct® cost per month?

Signal Dial Direct® costs $5.95 per month and is conveniently billed to your account.

What if I have more than one phone?

If each qualified phone is active on different wireless phone numbers, each phone must be individually enrolled in Signal Dial Direct®. Each phone will be billed $5.95 to your account monthly.

What is the deductible if a claim is filed and approved?

$50.00* deductible per occurrence for lost, stolen, and accidental physical damage claims.
$25.00 deductible per occurrence for mechanical breakdown claims.

*$100 deductible per occurrence for lost, stolen, and accidental physical damage claims for Audiovox 6600, UT Starcom 6700, UT Starcom 6800, Motorola KRZR (K1m), Motorola Q, Motorola ROKR (Z6M), Motorola RAZR II (V9M), ALL Palm devices, ALL BlackBerry devices and the Kyocera 7135. $50 deductible for aircards.

The deductible will be billed directly to your Bluegrass Cellular Invoice.

Claims Process

What should I do before I file my claim for lost or stolen phones?

Please call 1-800-928-2355 to suspend your wireless service to prevent any unauthorized use of your phone if the phone has been lost or stolen. Please note, you will need to file a police report for all stolen phones.

How do I file a claim under Signal Dial Direct®?

You can file a claim by simply calling 1-888-352-9183, or on the web at www.thesignal.com.  Please be prepared to provide the following information to complete your claim:

Note:  A Proof of Loss form may be required to complete your claim.

How can I determine the manufacturer and model of my equipment?

The make and model of your wireless phone can be located on the box the phone came in or on your original sales receipt. 

What if I  do not have my ESN or MEID for my phone?

This information is found under the battery on the back of the phone.  The ESN is 11 digits long, or the MEID is 16 digits.  If your phone has been lost or stolen, you can find the ESN on the box that your phone came in or on file with Bluegrass Cellular.

What is the importance of providing an email address for status updates?

Providing us with your email address allows us to provide you with important information on the status of your claim, such as when it has been approved, when your phone was shipped, and tracking number to help you locate the status of your package.


Replacement Phone

Will the replacement equipment be exactly the same as the original?

Be assured that we will make every effort to find the exact model - either new or reconditioned - of your original phone.  If one isn't available, we will replace your phone with a model of similar like, kind and quality and will inform you during the claim process if this is the case.  All damaged equipment , or recovered lost or stolen equipment, becomes the property of the Signal®.  A prepaid label and instructions will be included with the replacement equipment for return.  If the damaged equipment is not returned, you will be invoiced for the full replacement cost of the phone plus a $50.00 non-refundable processing fee.

How long will it take to receive my replacement equipment?

If your claim is approved, your deductible will be billed to your Bluegrass Cellular bill.  The Signal® will ship the same or a comparable phone within 2-3 business days, based on equipment availability.  For an additional fee, you can choose to have your replacement phone expedited.
