Take Your Feet to the Street!

A Heartland Festival tradition continues with the annual Bluegrass Cellular 5K Run and 1 mile Fun Run/Walk, to be held on Saturday, August 30th at 7:30am EDT at Bluegrass Cellular's headquarters location at 2902 Ring Road.

Note: Online Registration Closes at 10:00pm EST on Wednesday, 8/27/08. Additional fee applies for each online registration.

What's New for '08?
This year's event is chip timed by Gault Race Management of Flushing, Michigan. Over the past fourteen years, Gault Race Management has provided professional race timing services to prestigious events all over the country. Some notable events timed by GRM include the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon, the Crim Festival of Races, City of Pittsburgh Marathon, Detroit Free Press Flagstar International Marathon, Go! St. Louis Marathon, Roadrunner Akron Marathon, Chicago Half Marathon, the Louisville Triple Crown of Running Series, World's Best 10K (San Juan, PR) and both the NCAA Division I and Division II National Cross Country Championships.

Race Proceeds

All proceeds generated from the 5K are distributed to participating cross country teams from Hardin County High Schools, such as Central Hardin, Elizabethtown, John Hardin and North Hardin High School. Proceeds from the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk are distributed to Greenspace, Inc. to help preserve walking trails throughout Hardin County.

Event Details
If you pre-register, you can pick up your packet the week of August 25th at our 2902 Ring Road Headquarters location. Pre-registation pick up closes Friday, August 29 at 6:30 pm EDT. Morning of pick up and registration will take place on site at Bluegrass Cellular, 2902 Ring Road, Elizabethtown, KY

• Day of Race Packet Pick-up: Saturday, August 30 from 6:30 am-7:15 am EDT.
• Free T-shirts to all entrants (while supplies last only).
• Parking will be available at Bluegrass Cellular on Ring Road with additional parking available in the grassy lot next to Bluegrass Cellular and at South Central Bank.
• Race is chip timed for accuracy.
• Water stations strategically located along the race course.
• Refreshments and door prizes available after the race.
• Awards presentation begins shortly after run completion.
• Ribbons for all Fun Run/Walk participants.

Sorry, no roller skates, bicycles or pets allowed. Due to demand, shirts are given out on a first-come, first-served basis. For insurance purposes, the 5K may not be walked in conjunction with this event. If you choose to walk, please use the 1 Mile Fun Run course, which is separate from the 5K course.
